The geography of Bangladesh is varied and has an area categorized by two distinctive features: a small hilly region crossed by swiftly flowing rivers.
The 147,570 square kilometres of Bangladesh is shared by four mighty rivers and small hilly region on east and southeast part. On the south there is a highly irregular deltaic coastline of about 580 kilometres, fissured by many rivers and stream flowing into the Bay of Bengal. Both the region plays a vital role in driving Bangladesh’s Economy, Heritages and culture. Lives of Bangladeshi people cannot even imagine without picturing hills and rivers rising all over the country.
